Anam Damhsa...
... is a Dance group based in Upper Austria, founded by Julia Stoiber. Our name comes from Gaelic and is pronounced ‘Anam Dowsa’ and means, roughly translated “dancing soul”.

We train the FCBD® Style and are currently a group with 3 members.
The beginning
As a member of Anam Chara Tribal, Julia loves dancing a mixture of FCBD style and dialect, but she also liked the idea of creating a daughter group which goes back to the roots and concentrates on the original FCBD style. A project that Marisa found exciting as well.
How we began 2020
So, at the end of 2019, the idea was born and in 2020 things should really get moving. When thinking of a name, it was important to us, that it would also fit well with Anam Chara, which roughly translates to "friendship of souls".

The colors the logo should have were easy to choose. Anyone who knows Julia, knows that she finds four-leaf clovers all the time. Their leaves and purple flowers are the reason for our design, as the knot too resembles the 4 leaves.

In the fall of 2020, the first beginner class finally started and Nicole and Tina joined the group. After about half a year we were happy to welcome Elisabeth as our fifth member.

After a while Marisa stopped dancing in order to focus on different things and Nicole went back to the US for an uncertain amount of time. But we do hope that we will be dancing together again at some point.
GS and TT
We celebrated important milestones for Julia, but also for us as a group, when she was able to complete her General Skills and then also her Teacher Training (2021 & 2022). This meant that the time had finally come and Julia received her certificate as the first FCBD®Style partner studio in Austria.

A lot has happened in a short time and we are already very excited about what lies ahead of us!
